19/5/2017 PERCY SIDNEY JOHNIt is with regret that I announce the death, on Monday 15th May, of my son Percy Sidney John, at 7 days old. After a week of being in contact with him for the most part only through holes in his incubator, my wife and I were able to spend the last four hours of his life last night with him in our arms. Gone was the pain, the worry, the tubes and wires, and bad news. All that remained was love. Despite having been with us for little more than a week, he taught me more about life, hope and love than all the people I've met, all the books I've ever read, and all the experiences I've had, ever did. That is his legacy. That was Percy. "Come away, O human child! To the waters and the wild With a faery, hand in hand. For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand." - from 'The Stolen Child' by William Butler Yeats Comments are closed.
